drugs were purchased for legitimate export to Guyana, however, majority of drugs diverted for domestic use through utilization of Guyana medical officials who signed documents verifying the use of these drugs in Guyana. [Name deleted] was not indicted and prosecution of other subjects dismissed by U.S. District Judge.

On December 7, 1978, a second individual representing the news media who wishes his identity protected, advised the FBI that certain returnees from Guyana have made statements to the press that drugs in Guyana came from Westchester County, New York and that a yacht named Valhalla was alleged to be used to transport drugs to Guyana. The source opined that the yacht may have some connection with Valhalla, New York, a Westchester County, New York, community.

Above furnished for your information. An interview of [name deleted] will be conducted by the FBI.
