During interview of Vernon Gosney, the following list of some members of the security force was furnished by him (he noted that there were probably 35 to 40 members):

Steve [Stephan] Jones, Tim Jones (white male), Tim Jones (black male), Lou [Lew] Jones, Jimmy Jones, Jr., Calvin Douglas, Johnny Cobb Jones, Doug Sanders, Stanley Gieg, Wesley Brydenback (phonetic) [Breidenbach], and Bob and Tom Kize [Kice]. Joe Wilson was the acting head of security.

Gosney noted that some members of the security force were also “Angels” but there were “Angels” who were not necessarily members of the security force. Those names have been previously furnished.

Also Gosney stated that while he was in Guyana there were approximately 85 practice “alerts”. The practice alerts consisted of all of the People’s Temple (PT) members with their machetes lining up along the road that runs from the Temple to the air strip. The members would hide in the bushes and then pretend to be attacking anyone that might be coming to Jonestown to destroy the camp.

Review notes taken during interview of [name deleted] [Anthony Katsaris], who was interviewed at Roosevelt Roads Naval Hospital, reveals that in early October [name deleted] (a close confidante of Jim Jones), who at that time was in Jonestown, Guyana, telephonically contacted him on several occasions. During these conversations, which [Katsaris] taped, [name deleted] insisted that [Katsaris] visit her in the Jonestown camp since he is a schoolteacher and [name deleted] thought that he would be interested in seeing the school system there.

[Anthony Katsaris] further noted that when he decided to go with the Ryan party to Guyana, he requested Tom Adams, the PT radio operator in San Francisco, to notify [name deleted] in Guyana of the date and time of his arrival.

Subsequently, [name deleted] telephonically contacted him through a commercial telephone line and advised she heard that Ryan, whom she described as a right-wing fascist, and his party would be coming to Guyana. Because of this, [name deleted] insisted that [Anthony Katsaris] should not go to Guyana with the Ryan party. She stated that it would be a bad time for him to go as she was scared and “shaking in her boots.” [Anthony Katsaris] thought this to be highly unusual since, first, she had previously used the shortwave radio patch through the PT in San Francisco to contact him, secondly, she previously wanted him to come down there very badly, and thirdly, she then used a commercial telephone line to contact him and insisted, after learning of Ryan’s intentions, that [Katsaris] not come at that time as she was scared.

Bureau and San Francisco should note that [Anthony Katsaris], who can be reached through his father, [Steven Katsaris], Ukiah,
