On December 6, 1978, Sergeant [name deleted], at Adlento, California Police Department advised his wife [name deleted] had observed a white colored sixteen-foot U-Haul type truck at 2:05 PM in Victorville, California, bearing the name “People’s Temple headquarters,” followed by a star on one of the rear doors. The lettering appeared to have been painted on with brush and did not appear to be a professional paint job. The truck bore California license plate E 578566. The letter “E” was triangular in shape.
Mrs. [name deleted] only observed the truck from the rear
