Re Bureau teletype to all Special Agents in Charge, December 1, 1978.
Ozora F. Pearson, P.O. Box 727, Inglis, Florida, was telephonically contacted at her residence in Inglis, Florida, 904/447-2345, on December 12, 1978. Pearson who has not been in contact with the People’s Temple or Jim Jones in the past 15 years was specifically questioned regarding items one thru 18 in re teletype. Pearson stated that she has no information regarding many of the items stated in a positive way. Pearson pointed out that during

the short period she was at the People’s Temple she never became aware of any dissatisfaction with public officials, the use of force, or the storing weapons of any type. Pearson reiterated the fact that she was permitted to travel to Florida and although Jones was not in favor of the trip he did not in any way stand to prevent her from going, nor has he attempted to obtain her return since she did travel to Florida.
