SUBJECT: W/W MARSHALL FARRIS DPOB: AUG. 5, 1907, ARKANSAS
REF: (A) 77 STATE 264940 ( B) 77 Georgetown 2946
TO: MRS. EUNICE COOPER, 3302 DAUPHINE DRIVE, FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA

1. Our Consul visited with Eunice Cooper, sister of Marshall Farris on Jan. 11, 1978 at the People’s Temple agricultural community. Mr. Farris appeared well and content. He told the Consul that he was enjoying his residence at Jonestown and engaging in activities such as gardening. Consul personally delivered Mr. Farris’ monthly Social Security check to him and determined that Mr. Farris had not signed over his Social Security annuity to the People’s Temple organization. [Name deleted] strongly denied the allegation that he is being held against his will at Jonestown or has been influenced to turn over the proceeds of his pension to the People’s Temple. Consul suggested to Mr. Farris that he should write to you more often. Please accept my best wishes.
