1. SINCE REFTEL CONSUL HAS VISITED THE GROUP OF “CONCERNED RELATIVES” AT THE PEGASUS HOTEL.
2. CONSUL REPORTED TO THEM THE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS THAT WERE IN EFFECT AND RELAYED ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF POLICE [C.A. “Skip”] ROBERTS’ FEELING (REFPORTED REFTEL. HE ALSO OFFERED THEM IMMEDIATE PASSAGE OUT OF THE COUNTRY ON TODAY’S PANAM FLIGHT WICH [WHICH] THEY DECLINED. HE THEN OFFERED THEM ALTERNATIVE PASSAGE ON LATER FLIGHTS BUT ALLMEMBERS OF THE GROUP INDICATED THAT THEY WANTED TO REMAIN HERE TO AWAIT FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS.
3. CONSUL’S APPEARANCE OBVIOUSLY RELIEVED MUCH OF THE TENSION AND, WHILE THEY ARE STILL CONCERNED FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY, EACH HAS ELECTED TO REMAIN AT PEGASUS WHERE AT LEAST SIX ARMED POLICEMEN ARE PROTECTING THEM.
