1. Preliminary inquiry into the murders of Congressman Ryan and four other persons resumed yesterday (Dec. 14).
2. Two new witnesses were called upon to testify. A police photographer gave testimony and submitted sixteen each negatives and prints of exposures he took at Port Kaituma airstrip on Nov 19. Dale Parks was recalled to examine the pictures and give additional testimony. Monica Bagby then related to the court from her personal knowledge events at Jonestown and Port Kaituma on Nov 17 and 18. She was then intensively cross-examined by senior defense counsel Rex McKay.
3. After the adjournment of yesterday’s session, McKay and prosecuting attorney Nandram Kissoon informally agreed to continue the Layton inquiry through Dec 19, at which date they hope the preliminary inquiry could be completed. We agreed to postpone the resumption of the inquiry regarding Charles Beikman (Ref A) from Dec 15 until Dec 20. McKay is senior counsel for both accused.
