1. Preliminary hearing into the murders of Congressman Ryan and four other persons resumed December [illegible date]. Two new witnesses testified. Harold Cordell related his experiences with People’s Temple and his view of the events at Jonestown and Port Kaituma on Nov 16-18. He was intensively cross-examined by senior counsel Rex McKay, who accused the witness of being prejudiced against Layton. Gerald Parks also testified, for a brief period.

2. The inquiry was postponed until December 20 by Magistrate [Krishna Veni] Chinta.
