Re Knoxville let to Bureau Dec. 6, 1978.
For the information of the Bureau and San Francisco, [name and address deleted], Oak Ridge, Tenn., the owner of the numerous tapes that were sent to the Bureau under separate cover and referenced in referenced letter dated Dec. 6, 1978, has made numerous requests for the return of his tapes.
The Knoxville Division is reluctant to return [name deleted] tapes until it is determined that tapes cannot contain information of an evidentiary nature.

Referenced letter requested the Bureau to reproduce the tapes, a copy for the San Francisco Division, a copy for the Bureau, and a copy for the Knoxville Division.
The Bureau is requested to advise if the copies were made as requested prior to the return of these tapes to the Knoxville Division.
The San Francisco Division is requested to advise Knoxville whether or not they have reviewed these copies of the tapes in their possession and whether or not there is anything of an evidentiary nature so that [name deleted] may be advised or that the tapes may be returned to [name deleted] as requested.
