Re Brooklyn/Queens tel December 30, 1978.

On December 31, 1978, [name deleted] advised he and [name deleted] [references are to Carter brothers, Tim and Mike] are presently residing with [line deleted] and will remain there for indefinite period of time. [Carter] advised they were contacted by their attorney [name deleted] [Jeremiah Gutman] upon arrival New York City 12/29/78 and were instructed to decline all interviews. They were also contacted by FBI upon arrival New York City and they advised interviewing agents, on advice of council [counsel], who would not consent to interview. [Carter] stated he and [his brother] continuing advice of council will not agree to any interviews including news media, FBI and others. [Carter] said he and [his brother] have been subpoenaed [one line deleted] and will appear as scheduled.
