1. Minister of Information and Culture Shirley Field-Ridley scheduled to depart Georgetown Jan 30 via Pan Am 228 arriving New York same day. Minister will proceed directly to San Francisco for the February 1 and 2 “Consultation on the Black Church and the Implications of the Jonestown Tragedy”, sponsored by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLOC) whose president, Dr. Joseph Lowery, invited Ms Field-Ridley during his December visit to Guyana.

2. During her eleven day stay in the US, Ms Field-Ridley is expected to visit with Guyanese nationals in San Franciso [Francisco], Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C. according to local press reports.
