Re Bureau airtel to San Francisco, dated January 9, 1979, captioned “RYMUR”.

For information Miami, re Bureau airtel enclosed an intelligence report from US INS, which contain the following information:

Dr. Jerome Peister, DOB – July 6, 1915, place of birth – New York City, was admitted FBA – December 6, 1978, destination c/o Neal Kadin, 13155 Ixora Ct., North Miami, Florida, 33181, has been employed the last 14 years as a dentist in Georgetown, Guyana. Claims to have pipeline to

information regarding the Jonestown massacre. He arrived in the Bahamas with a young pregnant Guyanese girlfriend who was refused a visa in Nassau. [Subject claims he has been in contact with the CIA regarding Jonestown.] Stated he will attempt to train information in return for visa for girlfriend. Subject is tall, possibly mulatto, white kinky hair, prominent hawk nose.

A routing slip attached to the USINS report indicates a xerox copy of the report was sent to J. Whalen, Liaison Unit, Division 5 – [several words deleted]

FBIHQ is requested to report the results of their contact [word deleted] to San Francisco and Miami.

Miami is thereafter requested to interview Peister.
