On September 17, 1979, USA [United States Attorney], SF, advised that his office has been successful in contacting only one witness, [name deleted] (who has indicated a reluctance to return to Guyana]. Witnesses [two names deleted] residing in [location deleted], Washington, contacted through family resulting in USA being advised to direct any request through family attorney. Willingness to return to Guyana is unknown. Attempt to locate Monica Bagby through address furnished by FBI has been negative. SF FBI will attempt to obtain more recent address and furnished same to USA.

USA advised that in approximately two weeks, AUSA, SF, accompanied by special Departmental Attorney plan to travel to Guyana to conduct liaison with GOG [Government of Guyana] prosecution, offer any assistance, and observe and evaluate prosecutive potential.
