Mr. & MRs Bone visit — we dropped by there [their] house 16/7/78 Sharon & Debbie [Touchette]
-we were visiting with them and talking about our project and some of the things that are happening in the US with black elected officials/ she was kind of tired and nodding off but he seemed attentive and not arguementative
-Debbie had worked with her on the referendum day and she had been both very appreciative of her work and concerned that Debbie didn’t have any problem with what she was doing (the rigged aspect)
-Mrs. Bone had invited her to come by
-he is quite smart and she seems kind
-he asked all about the project/ we talked about various aspects/ like the new chicken incubator we were getting, he asked penatrating questions like would we have the facilities to raise that many chickens – do we buy feed or raise it
-he said he used to know the mixture of feed to grow – for chickens
-he seemed interested in all we had to say, the conspiracy was interesting to him and the persecution of black elected officials
-we were talking about developing some project like plywood/ asked him why the plywood factory had failed that was going in Guyana, he said it was mismanagement (someone took honey, stole from them within the company) and so it folded
-rather fortunately I thought while we were there a man dropped in from National Insurance Scheme NIS who is going to be working as an assistant to [Gregory] Gaskin [Guyana economic development regional director] in the Northwest and hopes to visit Jonestown/ he has listened to our broadcast and is very interested in the project
-we gave both him and the Bones one of the booklet’s model community
-he was fascinated with the talk about conspiracy/ talked about imperialism and seemed very well informed about the CIA
-he is a policeman as well as being with the NIS and said he worked along side with prisoners as rehabilitation but he said he didn’t think Guyana was as advanced in rehabilitation techniques as the US/ he wasn’t otherwise positive to the US
-he said he might drop by and see us
(I’ll have to get the man’s name we saw at the Bone’s – I can’t find it I wrote it down tho – but will ask them for it)
